Great trip to Atlanta and Charis....

The book signing today at Charis in Atlanta in celebration of their 36th birthday was a blast. It was good seeing everyone again at the bookstore. I also purchased books and enjoyed talking to Jane and the other authors. This will probably be my last book signing/reading until spring with the winter weather settling in here soon.

The drive down was beautiful. Since we visited Jane first, we took a different route and drove through Kentucky and the mountains of Tennessee and North Carolina. When Phyllis took over driving about halfway down, I was able to enjoy the view from the passenger seat. I think the word I kept repeating was, "wow." And when we hit North Carolina and the mountains there, Phyllis said it best: "Truly the magnificence of God."

When I wasn't driving, I worked through my latest book and should be sending it into Jane and Em this week. Sometimes, this is the hardest part of writing...knowing when to let go. But it's time for Eleanor to tell her story to someone other than me.

It's nice to get away, but it's always a good feeling to sleep in our own bed again. We leave tomorrow morning for Indy. I know this sounds a little Dorothy-ish, but there really is "no place like home."
